Well I finally did it. I finally was convince, after several frustrations and loads of hiccups and errors, to make the switch from wordpress to blogspot.

The name is almost identical.

You can still come here to see all the old posts and cool little slide shows of Isaac, but I’m going to start posting new updates on

I’ve debated about making the move for MONTHS now. I really don’t like to start something and then change it…especially after printing and passing out all our prayer cards this summer! But since I have no more picture uploading space here, I had to do something.

My bestie, Ferial made the layout/design of the new blog and she did a fantastic job of capturing the cuteness of our joy! hehehe
She also added a button for you be easily look back at our blog here. So take a look at the new blog and change your bookmarks!

And enjoy!

Goodbye worpress, I’ll miss you but I think I’m going to be happier with blogspot.

Merry Christmas! in October? October 13, 2011

Iz has this awesome 1st Christmas outfit from Auntie Fay but sadly, it probably won’t fit him at Christmas. Luckily we found this out just in the nick of time and Iz got to wear his outfit for Auntie Fay when she came by for dinner! We also took the opportunity for a photo opp!

Thanks Auntie Fay!

Saturday was Isaac’s 6 month birthday and we let him have his first taste of “solid” food. He has been waiting and waiting for this day.

We originally just began by having him with us at the dinner table but he didn’t settle for that and it became more of a distraction than anything else.

Then we tried serving him water in a bowl and using a spoon. It was wonderful! He slurped it up and was content to play with the spoon while we ate dinner.

So we drug (dragged?) our feet long enough and finally decided to let him begin eating. His first food was plain rice cereal mixed with breastmilk. HE.LOVED.IT. Really, there was no surprise. He slurped it down, just like the water and then he played with the spoon again.

Here are pictures from his first meal :)

Our little guy about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime (literally!)

Happy baby boy, 6 months old and about to eat his first meal!

Isaac wants to help mommy

I can help you, I can help you, I can help you!

I'm ALL done, let me outta here!

100th Post!

Isaac is 6 months old today!

I’ve been counting the posts and saved this one for a special day like today! Isaac is 6 months old and the center of our happiness right now! He’s growing up so fast and it’s so exciting but half a year seems way to big for our little man!

Happy 6 months birthday Iz! We love you!

p.s. unfortunately i’ve added “too many” pictures to the blog so this might be the last new picture you see until i can figure out how to fix such a ridiculous problem! hehehe

My baby is officially 1/2 a year old. I remember when I was 6 months pregnant and I realized “I’ve been pregnant for 1/2 a YEEEEEEAR!?! Wow, that’s a long time!” And now our little guy is the big one half too. It’s bittersweet, this growing up thing. I find myself on the brink of tears almost daily right now. I can’t believe how fast time flies and how fast he’s grown up.

Isaac is walking across rug lengths, room lengths, gym lengths…. holding onto someone for stability of course.

He can balance himself at an object without being held.

He can grab objects with precision and not, istead of beating them he’ll usually inspect and turn them around.

He hits things with his open palm instead of his fists (this one brings me to the edge of tears every time!)

He is getting used to tummy time again and starting to really try getting forward. Still moving backwards and in a circle to the right!

He started “eating” water this week to pacify his desires to eat our food at dinner time.

He shakes hands with people when they reach for his hand.

Absolutely loves rolling around in his walker–still backwards but certainly manuevering all around the house.

He still loves mommy and daddy though, and we love watching him grow grow grow.

What an adventure!

ICS Picnic 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — thelantzlife @ 11:24 pm

It’s picnic weather and boy was the weather perfect this weekend!

We have an annual school picnic at ICS for all students, parents and faculty. You may remember last year’s picnic. This year it was really fun to be able to take Isaac and join in the family fun (aka sitting on a picnic blanket together with heaps of food and then playing games).

Jason always loves to join in the games with every age group of students and I like to talk to the other moms and teachers. I am already looking forward to next year when Isaac will be playing on the playground equipment and running around with the other littles.

The other exciting part of this event was that we FINALLY got our ICS Pyeongtaek 2011 t-shirts and they even ordered one for Iz! I love it!

More Water Please? October 2, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — thelantzlife @ 6:46 pm

Saturday morning. 10am. You open the doors to your school building and find this.

Ever happened to you?

Well it did happen to our teachers who went to school on Saturday morning this weekend. Some part of the men’s toilet on the first floor was leaking overnight and the whole first floor looked like this.  (Probably worse when the teachers first opened those doors there!)

The school rounded up any and all available teachers willing to help clean up. Our sunny, Saturday walk was post-poned and Jason jumped in the van to go help. (He’s such a good man.) These are the pictures that he took at the school.

Shoveling water out of the cafetorium

The director's office (that's carpet by the way)

barefoot workers in cold water

shoveling water out the front door

office furniture now residing in the lobby of the school for the weekend.

the carpet cleaner guy clearing out as much water as he can from the offices. (I wonder how much there was in the end?)

Thankfully, the damage is fixable but please pray for our school. We don’t need these hiccups–nobody needs them! Pray that our building will function well and without fault. Pray that everything dries as it is supposed to and without mold.

And a special thank you to those who came out to clean and help move furniture so that the offices could be properly cleaned!
